If you’re checking out Portland homes for sale and need a break, Lan Su Chinese Garden offers a stunning oasis of tranquility in the middle of the bustling city. It’s also an argument in itself for choosing Portland real estate. The garden has a huge variety of plants, shrubs, and flowers, all native to China. Many flowers that are common in the West originated in China, yet many gardeners are not aware of the debt they owe to China for their favorite blossoms. Magnolia, camellia, and rhododendron are all native to China, and the Lan Su has carefully curated collections of each, as well as bamboo and osmanthus. Visitors will also encounter a number of rare shrubs and perennials, as well as 50 different specimen trees.
